Marama Davidson, according to Trevor Mallard who is hardly a reliable source, has managed to skirt around calling Nicola Willis a racist in Parliament which would have had her ejected from Parliament.
Despite being applauded by a large section of Labour MPs for this slur, I think Marama, as always, is wrong. Why? To add some background, I have little doubt that Marama Davidson is a racist as she's constantly ragging Pākehā (except hubby of course, but even he gets ragged on occasion). But here she's jumped to the conclusion that those in emergency housing are all Māori. For sure a lot of them will be, and for sure gangs, in the North Island anyway, are predominately Māori (maybe with the exception of the Filthy Few) but to assume all of those in emergency accommodation are Māori is a racist assumption.
