Rattling the chains, 2019
Seager, Whiley, Hawkins. Includes related discussion of public transport & cycling, democracy & gender critical issues
Dunedin Mayoral campaign, Aug 27, 2019. Myself (Richard Seager) Aaron Hawkins and Andrew Whiley. Aaron is a bit of a smartarse here (as normal) and won the race for Mayor, from a Green Party platform although he was supported big-time by the Dunedin establishment. He’s not very green, if at all.
I had my stoushes with the climate change warriors in this 2019 campaign and they did their best to exorcise me, I guess they knew at this stage that they were fraudulent but I was still somewhat unaware of this unfortunate fact. They were definitely more focused on identity politics than green politics and I figure this is the reason for the attempt to keep me out of the debate. I wouldn’t call myself climate change focused anymore due to this and awareness of how it is being used by the likes of the WEF but there are many environmental issues, including industrial pollution, monoculture instead of agriculture, our transportation choices and other issues including ice melt in the Arctic that indicates a warmer climate in the Northern Hemisphere at least, so I’m still environmentally focused and have been since the 1970s.
I should have known that there was a catch with the sudden focus in the last decade or so on (supposedly) environmental issues though. If you want to reduce the world’s population start with yourself, climate change warrior.
