There are plenty on Twitter who would call Siouxsie Wiles a bully. In fact she’s been accused of exactly that many times. It is definitely my view that she is, having been a victim of it several times, in fact right now she’s referring to me as ‘Dunedin Dick’ which is quite obviously an attempt to bully, especially considering her pull on the platform and that she has 45k followers (I have about 3k followers).
Siouxsie is also allied with several other bullies on Twitter who often work as a team. She frequently interacts with them while they are attempting to bully. Those team members include several who are banned from this blog so sorry, no links even if I am currently their main target. They are though rather unimportant bullies which is why they’ve been banned here. But not all of them are so unimportant in the scheme of things and consequently need calling out.
Here we have Richard Easther, an Auckland University colleague of Siouxsie’s and definitely allied with her, suggesting that those who edit Wikipedia should get to it and edit Ray Avery’s page just because Ray had the temerity to seemingly* suggest that there was no science evident in the recently announced Kiwibank New Zealander of the year. Ray is the 2010 NZr of the year and a scientist by the way. But he doesn’t meet with Richard’s approval.
The answer Richard, is not you.
Nicola, it’s nice to see that you’ve not joined in.
New Zealand Social media, most noticeably Twitter, is a clusterf;&k of bullies to be completely honest. That’s because that’s how New Zealand’s politics “works”. Does it need a change? Yes it does, maybe Siouxsie Wiles could do a ‘mea culpa’ and lead the way. Here’s how it’s done.
Kazuki putting his hand up to Captain the Highlanders.
But to be honest I think that there is zero chance of the first in this instance and any leading of the second will just be exasperating the issue.
* seemingly as that’s what the link’s title is from Twitter, which stores its own version of the link and therefore the link is not a ‘live’ one, useful as the original has now been deleted.
