Dudley Benson, cancel culture warrior, goes on the woke warpath.
Dudley Benson is the co-owner of a bar in Dunedin called Woof. He and his partner decided that their bar would exclude the un-vaccinated even after the mandates were removed recently. In today’s news he’s boasting of having their biggest trading week this year. To be honest that’s probably not a difficult thing to achieve considering the exclusion of a significant part of the population from such places over the last 4 months. But anyway..
Nice flowers. Birthday?
Dudley has been in the news before, just last year he wanted to have a driver distracting crossing outside his bar…
And his bar was lucky that it didn’t burn down last month…
That was damned lucky right Dudley?
There’s about 50 other stories on Woof in the local paper, which is probably a record for any local bar or eatery around Dunedin. That might be because the local rag is on the other side of the street. Might be…
Anyway Dudley’s attempts at self promotion have garnered the ire of those who are unimpressed with the Covid tyranny. Apparently Woof has been receiving a lot of 1 star reviews (we’re still having problems even placing his bar) and he has also been receiving ‘homophobic abuse’. Well I guess it’s possible although I do note that Dudley doesn’t claim that the homophobic abuse has been local, apparently (apparently) it’s rednecks from the Southern States (Austin?). I never saw any reference to his bar being a gay bar in any of the articles…
Anyway Dudley is keen to chase all those local one star reviewers down and penalize them. As far as I know his bar is not into S&M (except maybe a bit of candle wax on occasion…) but I have to say Dudley is looking for strife here;
And it looks like he’s been ‘ratio’d’ as well. Or close to it anyway. I doubt that most of those comments and retweets are complimentary. And the likes are probably just bots, the word having been put out.
Also while searching to find out if he actually owned the bar I came across the fact that they’d (the two owners) recently sold their house. They did get out at the top of the market so congratulations there, but are you guys capitalizing that asset for a reason?
It’s a hard time for small businesses everywhere.
Maybe concentrate on keeping your own business going rather than going after other’s jobs and businesses aye Dudley? After all it’s not so long ago that you, or at least those a generation or two before you, would have been the target for being gay. Discrimination is never nice, so maybe dial it back?
Cancel culture is, I hate to be the bearer of rad tidings here Dudley, on its way out.

discrimination, you would have thought they'd see the irony in their position probably having dealt with it for most of their lives
Hope they are ready for when they realise that they have backed the wrong horse.
Just like all those, on a bigger scale, who have donated to WEF and feature on WEF's corporate list.
