Good grief. What a nightmare. I know it plays into the hands of this "new world order", but I'm just not traveling. I can't take it. I would snap and end up in jail.

A friend had a similar(awful) experience last weekend coming into NZ. Fully vaxxed. She said customs were horrific. You’re right, why would anyone want to come to this expensive, unwelcoming totalitarian hellhole.

Is this the second time in isolation for you Rich? The hassle factor is insane. In San Francisco, California, while all employees public facing must wear masks and in some locations like the UPS store you must mask, in general about 1/3d of folks on the streets mask. To fly one must mask, to take any public transit one must mask. Pressure is there to test before you fly but I don't think it is law. Probably the craziest is the belief masks are effective, and that the PCR test is accurate.

Unvaccinated Australians and PR can leave and enter Australia without an exemption now. Must still comply with destination requirements for testing/vax etc and also any quarantine requirements on return (currently only in place in WA I believe)

In NSW, you are allowed out for medical attention, and exercise.

Lucky those subcontractors were not Chinese, or they would have demanded you get an anal probe.

A weeks ago I had to stay put for 7 days because a household tested positive: she coughed. Took some cough and chest medsa. She was fine within a few days. I just exercised in the backyard. No one contacted me. Don't know if she told them about me.
