This case has just adjourned. The Prosecution seemed to make a hash of it in my eyes (Lloyd top right). I’m not sure if the Justice bottom left was trying to help him or not but if he was I guess he too was unimpressed.
But now we wait. Apparently the Group of 3 are going to put the decision up on their website late this afternoon or early this evening (in 3 to 5 hours I guess around 19:00 AEDT, click the graphic for the link).
Reasons supporting the decision are unlikely to be provided today.
As everyone has probably heard the case was decided in favour of the Government. The decision was unanimous. I wasn't too impressed with Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia, James Alsopp. I thought he was actually helping out Lloyd (the government's representative) when he basically floundered. And his decision seemed weak with reasons waiting for another day, not indicated as yet.
Djokovic's solicitors/barrister now have to decide whether to challenge further. Not sure how they would do that. Barry undoubtedly knows better.
Meantime Djokovic has given up on the Australian Open and is going to head home.
Make a hash if it means what?
I'm not proud
