We come from very different backgrounds. I respect your opinion and would not be one who would want someone who can't shoot to have a gun.

Two days ago an 82 year old man was robbed in a home invasion. His gun was taken from him by a man named Torres who stole his car and ended up a few blocks from me.

Torres was hit by a bullet from a cop and saved the taxpayers the cost of a trial and incarceration.

If you have a gun you have to be ready to use it.

A few of my neighbors are not armed but enough of us are that the bad guys might make it in,making it out might be another story. I didn't know it at the time but I moved into a neighborhood where the majority are veterans and one active duty military.

I love it.

Let's take a look at history. I am a bit of a history buff and I have discovered that in every region where the right of the people to keep and bear arms is infringed crime goes up. In every region where the infringements are relaxed crime goes down. No exceptions. In the United States the cities with the highest restrictions on gun ownership are the same cities that have the highest rate of crime.

The high rate of unsolved murders in those cities is a result of armed gangs killing each other over turf.

The gangs are well armed and the civilians can't fight back

That looks to be the case in Auckland right now.

But statistics normally show that murder rates per 100,000 are higher in those countries that have guns, ie UK is about 1 per 100k and the US is about 6.3 per 100k.

It might be a little bit more complicated than that though. South and Central America seem to have very high rates but Argentina's is a lot lower (not as low as most of Europe's though).

Regardless it is currently quite easy to see why the 2nd Amendment exists.

If you look at the crime rate and the type of crime before and after the infringements I believe that you will see the same increase in crime as in other countries. You are much closer to the situation, so of course I respect your information

Auckland and potentially Christchurch are beginning to become rather dangerous cities and with woke PMs & MPs in place the problem will not be fixed.

I see we are spending some more tax payer dollars pushing #4 clotshots.

Killing off or debilitating the taxpayer base; some of the country's assets will be given to big pharma to pay for all this expensive depop.

New Zealand and Australia both have big advertising campaigns for the 3rd or 4th shot. Brisbane and Melbourne are building big clot shot labs and manufacturers. We need to extract those from the local region for freedom to have any meaning whatsoever.

Or maybe an "agile" city.

Euphemism for if you can't move your legs fast it's too late.

Or if you don't jump when they say jump....

ps he interfered in the NZ election that followed as well, talked Kim Dotcom down from releasing info of collusion between the PM at the time and those who wanted to extradite Dotcom to the States.

With regards to the info that I gave him, like many here, he considered the problem there to be that I'd found the info in the first place.

Investigative reporter my arse.

I'm not describing a woman. The second of those has two meanings. It's the non-woman meaning that I'm using. Think King Cnut.

ive always been anti gun (because they make killing too easy and impersonal, its a lot harder to injure and kill hundreds with a knife) but the last 2 years were a lesson, the government has too much power and will take more

I learned to shoot before I was 10. I got my first gun for my 12th birthday. I qualified as an expert in the Army. The last thing I shot was an elk and with 8 siblings it was a welcome addition to the freezer.

With 2.5million annual defensive gun uses, the gun grabbers are out of touch with reality.

Every member of my family knows the proper use, cleaning and storage of firearms and we practice every month to make sure that gun control is not diminished by time.

To me gun control means hitting where you aim.

I have read about the police shooting a large number of rounds to neutralize the crook and many of the shots didn't hit the target.

As a kid I had to bring home one animal for every round I expended. We used them for food.

Some people should not shoot guns. They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn at ten meters. These people can still use a gun defensively because the mere presence of a gun is enough to be a deterrent to the perpetrator.

All of us have different experiences with guns.

Whether they're Jewish or not is a distraction. Gates. Biden and Ardern are not Jewish. Nor is Klaus Schwab, Prince Charles or Fauci. And although for example Zuckerberg is he doens't give me the impression that he is a supporter of vaccinations (I think that he is very wary of the vaccination campaign of the last few years) nor for that matter does he give me the impression that he ultimately runs Facebook. And he's definitely not a banker.

It's irrelevant.

I mean are you really going to go and pick through the bankers and decide which one is Jewish and which one is not. Seems pointless if they're all arseholes anyway.
