I think there is another question at play here. I mentioned the Cairo Karaite Synagogue. Karaite Jews take their Jewishness from father rather than mother and wern't exactly welcome in Israel just after 1948. Their origin is supposedly north of the Black Sea as per the alleged origin of Ashkenazi Jews so why do they have a synagogue in Cairo? Also where are they now? They seem to be largely invisible.
Not sure of that. Will need to see evidence with my own eyes.
Re that inscription, sun and son are homophones in English. The same is (almost) true in Greek where Hλιος (helios) is sun and υἱός (huios) is son.
The trouble is that before they excavate they already figure they know what the story is. I figure that I know what the Jewish story is now but I could be wrong still. And re the Hellenes well I know that I only know a part of that story.
Your posts seem to be a bit out of sync. I cannot see any discrepancies on an image search of those two buildings

Someone should ask Binyamin how they are doing and how the Jewish state is helping them and allowing them to maintain their culture.
Where are you referencing here?
Strange I can see pics in my notifications but not actually in the posts.
Just checked, September 2012.
