I had not seen that Govt Stuff.

VFF will benefit from the MSM coverage.

Didn't seem "grotesque" to me, and if this were the worst the Stuff/Govt employee could find to quote, well it's nothing.

(Must admit I have not actually read it all. Got bored.)

At least they admit that the Stuff Govt employee is "funded by NZ on air"; so taxpayers have to pay for this govt spin.

I should add that I timed this post to go out a few minutes after Radio One's attempt to do a hit job on me. Quintan Jane indeed thought that hawkinsformayor.co.nz (currently pointing to this article) was enough of a story to run with it as his main lead after 11am. The gist of it was that it was 'dirty politics' that my website was full of conspiracy theories about the WEF & so on and that a similar event happened up in Auckland which was directing people to Leo Molloy's website (Leo pulled out of running for Mayor a few days ago right after nominations closed).

Nobody has approached me about this story other than Quintan so far. I'm not sure if they'll try and take my domain name away or not but I did shift the host to the States to make such efforts a little harder.

I'm happy with the "hit piece". I wouldn't have otherwise expected to get name recognition so early in the election campaign.

On second thoughts I think they're trying to keep such stories about me away from the main newspaper here. So maybe not so impressed.

How did Hawkins get anyone to vote for him.

I have not studied the matter but I wonder if he got students to vote for him by promising them something.

He's a Green candidate so they can be absolutely ignorant and still get in. Same here in Wellington, they, and Labour candidates, swear allegiance to their party and then refuse to listen to the citizens, because they are already party programmed.

Have just sent another email to Claire & co offering myself for interview. No reply to my first one last week.

Did you see this?

https://interactives.stuff.co.nz/2022/08/circuit/inside-voices-for-freedom/

Funny how Rangi Kemara ends up on the same side as Policeman Ross Ardern's (who raided his camp in the Ureweras) daughter.

I think a few things. He scored the anti Vandervis vote. And the Green party is really the Greenwashing party these days (members need to take it back from the woke) but it has the support of the establishment. And finally the Dunedin establishment did actually rally behind him. Plus you know bullshit about hitchhiking from Port Chalmers to the city for the student vote.

Oh and final bit. I don't trust the STV voting system counted by electionz which also puts up the electoral officer (Anthony Morton) for many places in NZ including Dunedin.

Not sure about being able to verify oneself, that kind of brings blockchain into the equation. I'm happy going back to paper ballots counted by hand. No machines.
