I havn't looked into it too much and don't have much of a law background (for now). I just thought it important to telegraph that although I'm happy for it to be all over the internet, someone making money from it, or claiming it as their own, is a different proposition.
When I wrote for scribd, or former newspaper (coastalpost.com online until it shuttered) there were quite a few foreign and domestic sites that would grab articles, or papers and post them with many others, presumably to sell penis enlargement ads or whatever. Not sure there's anything you can do about that.
What do you think about Creative Commons copyrights? I looked into it but didn't register anything.
