I did pass it by my wife first. It is a bit gross. I will see if I can find a bob cartoon just as gross with a male politician.
I was also thinking of doing a poll for those who thought that Jacinda was an enthusiastic member of Team Klaus or a reluctant one. It seems to me that she was an enthusiastic member especially if she joins Team Blackrock which is what is rumoured.
If she ends up working in any of the orgs that we know of, WEF, UN, Blackrock et al then yes she still is. If she wants to indicate that she's fallen out with these guys then she will have to start resisting. She seems to want to escape to paradise (it's up past Glenorchy I believe) with Clark & Neve.
Lots of American billionaires in the Glenorchy area.
Glenorchy is near your part of the world isn't it... so paradise is further on?
My sister wrote and said there was a photo of Jacinda on TV saying to her little girl (Neve) “Mummy will be with you when you start school.” (In February).
Probably somewhat contrived I don't know. I don't think she's going anywhere near the very small village of Paradise up past Glenorchy that was just a play on what she seemed to want.
But truth is that she has hurt a lot of families in this country. She needs to apologize.
It is hard being a cartoonist as obviously you will be pushing the barriers on occasion. A local cartoonist here was basically called a racist from one end of the country to the other but seems to be one of NZ's best cartoonists (with an occasional slip maybe but it is subjective). He's now seemingly unwelcome in all NZ media
It is a fine line to be a good cartoonist. The ones above of men by Bob Moran are not offensive, as the one of Jacinda. What you have shown of Shaun Yeo suggests he is good with clever subtlety. I like his style.
Yeo's cartoons in the ODT are pretty establishment approving. I don't like them very much and there hasn't been one that I can remember thinking 'yeah'. The cartoons on the link, well maybe some of them are ok, the mothers day one somewhat amusing.
I probably do go 'I think you've gone too far' occasionally with Tremain. But he hits the spot more often than Yeo does in my view.
I found that you see more and more when you keep looking into the detail of Yeo's cartoons. Good exercise for the brain for anyone prone to dementia! I also thought the Mother's Day one was amusing.
There is a message in most... such as Richie McCaw's big head.
We've had this conversation before Rich, she has an adam's apple, a package and huge hands. I'm not saying it's definitive, maybe your explanation is the answer.
Anyway, I hope you have had a chance to celebrate. Just hope that whoever is next isn't even worse...
One down, hundreds more to go...
Why not the door hit her on the way out? Ha!
Cindy is doing a disappearing trick, as con "men" do.
(Thanks to Naked Emperor for the analogy.)
This is highly offensive to all women.
It was obvious that PM Jacinda Ardern, was under a lot of pressure along with other
world leaders to conform to the authoritarian ruling of the World Health Organization.
There was much pressure to comply and no country has come out unscathed.
The cartoon reeks of deep seated, ingrained misogyny.
As a Brit perhaps Bob Moran would be more constructive to use his creativity to
alleviate the ‘women issue’ occurring in his own country’s establishment.

I don't think she was reluctant. I think she was a true believer .
I wonder if she still is?
She's a zealot and deserves ridicule.
Just because she may be some sort of female, I do not have to relate to her.
In fact it pleases me to distance myself from her.
She played the poor little innocent kind girl card and it didn't wash with me.
A very offensive cartoon indeed, and mild also considering the crimes we are talking about here.

Where is Neve going to school?

And yes Glenorchy is up the other end of Lake Wakatipu.
Maybe Bob is equal opportunity gross?

And has been replaced by the much worse Shaun Yeo whose cartoons seem much more establishment to me;

Oh I hadn't noticed that feature.
Bob art is waaaaay out of my price range. He did get some body parts right.
The broomstick is v.good.
For a non NZer Bob is advanced in his thinking about Jabcinda.
Too gross!!
Oof, that new Bob cartoon is pretty spicy. Yikes.

Hipkins has the ability to be worse.
Looking forward to Bob's take on Hipkins. Hipkins has a lot to answer to already.
