When I went to use the credit today I was told that it had been voided. Had another hour + conversation with what seemed like AI to me but maybe it was human with required platitudes said in a very patronizing way who knows.
We have some issues with changing details on a company in Oz at the moment. The address was supposedly wrong (it wasn't but Post Office is no longer run by the competent). So we need a 'corporate key' to change details. Problem is that Post Office won't recognize address (which we've now moved from anyway) and ASIC the company guys won't send the key except to the original address or to an address that we've changed to for which we need the corporate key. It's very Kafkaesque. Still going on two years later.
The upshot of this was that I was able, online, to change my fare to the Max fare that I mentioned to Mark (the rainbow bot) above and then have it refunded as a credit voucher for the full amount so far paid.
if you'd like to discuss further let me know, thanks
Thanks. will have a look.
grateful if you could respond and advise that this comment made it to you ok, thanks
Yep it did. I've seen it before and am skeptical as I feel that I have a better explanation but I will have a look.
grateful for any additional intel or corrections you have
If you think things are bad now, wait until there really is only a bot to "speak to".
Literal "computer says no" hell world.

Result is that I now have to take it to the relevant agencies to fix. Jetstar sucks.
Yip. Their desire to digitize humans but the humans are also so programmed now ( mind conditioned) I sometimes find it hard to tell the difference .

Humans being corporate bots or bots pretending to be human... who knows with wokism.
You were not changing your name, nor your sex, so what is the bot on about.
Yes I think my hunch that he was a bot is correct. "You already have this fare" is kind of the giveaway. If he's human he's had too many jabs.
Haha

The 'Plus' fares are a con.
Enough people acquiesce to the con that it must be a standard response. Bullying is profitable!
