Mick Jagger also studied there (RIP Brian Jones). It's the main school for economics in the UK. I'd hate to be called a globalist just because I studied at the same University as several of NZ's main commentators on COVID hail from.
I think considering it's 2013 for him and 2014 for Jacinda and that his LSE was a decade before that it's more likely that he was discovered after entering politics. But it may not be the case and I think Jacinda was definitely groomed from early on partly because like Mick Jagger (LOL) she was on TV when she was at high school for no great reason.

Also true of Shane McGowan, which is kind of disappointing. Definitely has me wondering who wrote Dark Streets of London.
