I was wondering how much distance there was between chez le WEF and chez Klaus but, considering the level of animosity towards him, I thought it unlikely us plebs would get to know. Do you have any more intel about their proximity? My imagination is conjuring up a Bond-villain type of fortress, patrolled by goons with semi-automatic weapons, and a mission statement, cicada-serenade ambience on a sound system.

Tractors on the move in Holland.

Not to be confused with the novel A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian, which is a love story.

American news is not covering the Dutch protests. I guess that they think that if they ignore it, it will go away. They have been modifying their tractors in A-Team style. They are spoiling for a fight and they are spread out enough for the government to be unable to do what Trudope did.

I would send them more tractors if I could

It has been on a few sources, Newsweek had it, and I think a few smaller ones. Of course national press in most countries keeps silent. Talked to my dad in Belgium today and he did not know but the Netherlands, nothing about international protests.

How sad is that?

This is big news and the ramifications are going to bad if the farmers are defeated.

In Canada the government made unreasonable demands and Canadian truckers protest was peaceful. A 16 year old Dutch boy was shot at while in a tractor. The farmers are going to be forced to give up their land.

I would fight too.

One of the farmers was saying that they needed the land to build their new cities on. I guess the WEF doesn't believe in the potential of sea level rise.

Netherlands is currently significantly urbanized and some already figure it's a city rather than a country.

I can believe that but the theft of your land under the guise of saving the planet is wrong on so many levels.

The government is not going to have an easy time and I am rooting for the farmers

I'm not sure that they want to save the planet. They want it for themselves. And there's a contradiction between 'a planet of 500 million' and 'Nigeria will grow to 700m by 2040'.
