Walking down our local High Street here in the Waikato, it seems clear that recession has begun, with many smaller independents already gone. What’s also interesting in the amount of commercial real estate for sale, with sitting (Gov or Big Names) tenants. A clear sign to those who dare to look.

Seen this?

There's a local version of that in Melbourne. Diamond stores galore. Everytime a shop closes a diamond store opens.

Damn Richard,

You are so behind the "times". There are two (2) reasonable explanations for Ghahraman actions. I'll let you pick the best one for NZ.

1> In today's world of thought magically becoming reality, she's entitled to those items and doesn't have to pay for them.

2> She's practicing communism in it's purist sense. No one owns anything and therefore she doesn't need to pay for anything. Ghahraman should be lauded as a "true thought leader" !! and a statue of her image needs to erected in each govt/municipal building, public park and a portrait of her hung in each court room and public office.

Something has gone terribly wrong with the Anglosphere with NZ, Canada, Ireland, Australia, the UK and vast swathes of America in the grip of wokeism which is the best word that I can come up with for Communism. There are many signs of resistance but we all need our own Javier Millei.

Javier is a fair way off the mark as well unfortunately.

He is a vassal of WEF. I posted from Barbadillo magazine from Italy a fine article on his performance for WEF. So desperately men need heroes they invent them from their hearts and cry about them when they’re just like the old boss in new garb.

A few articles from the NZ Herald are sent to me and I was surprised to read the type of reactions coming from the current politicians that Richard has pointed out.

Their comments appear as border-line defence of her, especially so from the Prime Minister.

There was no sympathy offered to the shop owners. Is this a case of ‘it takes one to know one?’

She knowingly stole and the cost for that is more than it would have been if the stolen goods had

been paid for. Generally, thieves steal from people whom they consider as ‘unlikeable’’.

She was earning good money, so was this her motive, she just didn’t like these shop owners?

The excuses of stress etc that she has offered are not plausible. Thousands of people are under

daily stress and many people are ‘unlikeable’ but stealing isn’t indulged to cope.

I hope someone in Court can delve deeper and extract the real cause.

If it was a politically motivated, such as the current IP issue, then she should never have been

in politics in the first place.

Also have just looked for any political activism of the (Wellington) Cre8iveworx owner. Didn't find anything.

Her address on Company records is a flat which is probably worth a third of whatever Golriz owns in Auckland. And she may not even own it. If there's any politics there it seems to be "punching down".

That's an unfortunate aspect that the victims are scrutinized.

Had to go to company records to find out who owned it.

But I agree really, it would not matter who it was, the petty theft of Golriz's is still theft.

The Green Party in the UK has been linked to paedo orgs (PIE); grooming within youth and sports clubs; as well as having members in prominent positions convicted of child sex offences.

The Greens are certainly one of the most hypocritical parties: just look at Jill Stein.

She's loaded and a lot of her loot comes from investments in oil.

Is it class? Is it character then class? Or merely I want. This end of the political spectrum in the West does appear filled with hungry ghosts. Biden being a flagrant example, followed by Macron and Trudeau and they want baby candy.

Mental health money squeezing is also big so many are in on this.

Another pharma scam.

So the mental health defence is attractive to shareholders and all the myriads getting qualified for this big mental health pandemic.

My observations on everyone mentioned in this article is that they are either lifelong government employees or if they have worked outside government it is for Corporates (Luxon came from Air NZ) or the UN (Ghahraman).

No experience of the existential angst of a small business environment or of any actual work really.

These small businesses suffered greatly over the lockdowns, social distancing and mask requirements as well. Cre8iveworx had quite a bit to say on that, being polite nevertheless, on social media.

Very bad in SF Bay. Small business death appears intentional. Even bigger than small business death is the violence and bold theft the never stops. Swarms of teenagers shoplifting. Big Stores having rules not to engage shoplifters. Western world is badly broken.

But I think that what small business is being told is that you have to look after your own security, here buy our facial recognition hardware & software. Oh you can't afford it? Well never mind.

I've got an Arche bag like that. I have used it when travelling overseas as I can keep it close to my body without pickpockets being able to see and grab what I've got.

I didn't realise that it's really a mental health retail therapy device.

The police should go through Golriz's house and put all her stuff on line for the owners to claim back

Anyone who has received gifts from Golriz should hand the loot over to the police too.

Shows the calibre of the politicians that they fail to condemn her for her robbery of retailers.

Can be sure it's not just clothes - judging by her confidence in theiving.

She probably swans around in the shops acting all special.
