That's true of course and the origin of the idea that trees will save us. But trees out of the temperate zones are not net sinks of CO2 they're actually net emitters. Which is also the reason why dams in tropical zones are net emitters as well.
I have no doubt that the world is heating at the moment, the Arctic is in a reasonably perilous state, but I am starting to wonder what's causing it. Maybe it's the large amount of matter (dust, smoke etc) that the Northern Hemisphere is more than capable of producing. In the past millions of years CO2 has followed warming not led it. I think we need to have a closer look at that.
