It was a good idea to venture out with your stickers on a cold and rainy day.
Although uncomfortable the benefits of fewer people out and about meant you got the job done without any confrontations. As you well know, confrontations have become commonplace between opposing parties in face-to-face meetings during this campaign. However, the rain didn’t stop the beggar from his serious job of earning a living and it wasn’t in his interest to divert his attention away from this and ask you what the stickers were about.
No earlier when I'd been friendly to him he asked me to go with him to the ATM. Yeah sure that sounds like a great idea (not). The same guy regularly abuses people outside the Market on a Saturday (I've copped a few, he's had his fire returned to him politely mostly, along the lines of "I'm hardly going to give you money after you abused me on the way in am I").
BTW I ticketed the University today, sunnier weather, wasn't hassled once nor did my very easy to remove sign on my bike disappear in the two hours that I was there. Nor was there a single 'TERF' sign to sticker over. And there were also a few, very much real, feminist posters about. Is the tide turning?
We used window signs. Small. Cheap Posted in high traffic areas like in laundry mats. Any free bulletin board got one. Went to merchants and asked if we could put one up. Considered but did not print flyers for car windshields.
